Why am I an RGD?
Design needs a voice.
Clients need assurance.
As designers bring value and real-world solutions to their clients, their clients need comfort and reassurance their investment is going to achieve or exceed their intended results. Being an RGD sets a standard of proficiency to protect the clients interests while allowing its members to define themselves as a skilled and trained professional which should be compensated accordingly. It’s a win-win but its also up to the members not to devalue themselves.
What is my most memorable RGD moment?
I love attending DesignThinkers, seeing some of the greatest designers such as Michael Bierut. But I’ve really enjoyed opportunities to interact and mentor designers of the future though portfolio reviews and judging RGD contests.
Why am I a designer?
Navigating an ever complex world with layers and layers of content can be overwhelming and exhausting. Designers possess an ability and have a duty to streamline the information to provide a logical trajectory to aid the flow of information to the intended audience or user. Design allows me to seamlessly steer and influence with style and logic.
